    Thestudyofinterpersonalcommunicationwillempower students,throughthedevelopmentofself-conceptandidentity,to gainlifelongsocial,psychological,andphysiologicalskillsthatcan be applied across contexts and relationships. Students will learn the importance of communication, active listening, deciphering verbalandnonverbalcommunication,andthepoweroflanguage, culture, perception, and emotions in relationships. This course explores ways to maintain romantic, platonic, family, and professional relationships through communication competence, interpersonal skills, and pragmatic theoretical application. This course also offers students lifelong practical applications for dealing with conflict, toxic relationships, and the termination of relationships.
