- This lab course is required for all beginning Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) students. Students will practice T-Joint fillet welding in all positions with the SMAW process using E6010 electrodes as well as flame cutting with the oxyacetylene torch. Students must provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE) as discussed during first day orientation.
