This course will also help students establish an extensive understanding of the ways that race is constructed historically, politically, and socially. Primarily through a sociological approach, this introductory course will prompt students to examine, evaluate, and identify key issues that arise within the frame of majority-minority group relations. Additionally, this course will ask students to analyze the ways that race and ethnicity intersect with locations of identity such as gender and class. More crucially, Introduction to Race and Ethnicity will motivate students to strive for racial/ethnic equality and social inclusion in an era in which racial discrimination is still significant.Usually HeldTue 3:20pm–6:30pm
