    Description
    This course surveys the history of Native American Indians from pre-history to the present. Students will construct an understanding of North American history that centers the American Indian perspective. Major course themes include cross-cultural exchange and adaptation, the construction of racial consciousness, and issues related to tribal sovereignty and relations with the U.S. federal government.
