    Description
    This course covers major events and cultural trends in the historical evolution of Western civilization from the beginning of Western civilization to the 16th century. It analyzes historical events from the perspective of the people in power as well as those on the periphery. Analysis of the evolution of the empires of Egypt, Greece and Rome will be a point of emphasis as well as social movements, philosophy, architecture, and characteristics of the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
