Particular emphasis will be placed on understanding how race, class, gender, and sexuality intersected with ideas about power. The course will present a multicultural history of the United States by examining the experiences of Native Americans, African-Americans, Euro-Americans, Hispanic-Americans and their contributions to U.S. history.
