    Description
This course is a Laboratory designed to give the students hands on experience with transducers and transmitters used to measure process variables and transmit proportional signals to a PLC, Loop Controller or DCS I/O. Students will configure pneumatic, electronic and digital transmitters and connect the in-measurement loops. They will calibrate the transmitters for use in pressure, level, temperature, pH and flow processes then check for accuracy, precision and linearity. Student will learn to use ISA standards and techniques to accurately prepare a transmitter for use in the field. The course is designed to be taken concurrently with ETEC-050 and provide the practical experience necessary to understand the fundamentals of process measurement.
