    Description
    This course examines the role of curriculum and environment in early childhood settings birth through age 8. Students will learn different curriculum models and how to plan, implement, and document curriculum that is developmentally appropriate. Students will use knowledge of children's development and theories of learning to plan and implement learning experiences in the areas of, math, science, language arts, and social studies. Key components include principles of curriculum development and the ongoing curriculum cycle, the teacher's role, environmental design, play, universal design for learning, and the home- school connection.
