Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is required by the State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for an automotive technician to complete the education requirements for the state smog inspector license certification. Students must take this course to earn a Level II certificate that will allow them to take the state smog check inspector exam. This course provides training in the procedures of the smog check program and instructs students how to properly perform a smog check inspection. This course provides a practical background in the theory, operation and testing of automotive engine systems and emission control components.
