It provides an introduction to written Spanish with an emphasis on the acquisition of a solid grammatical base, vocabulary enrichment and spelling. While it addresses all four skills in Spanish (speaking, listening, reading, writing), it focuses on reading and writing. Readings include texts on the geography, customs and culture of Spain and Latin America. The course is taught in Spanish.
