    Description
    This is the second course of Intermediate Spanish, designed for students who have successfully completed Spanish 003 (Intermediate Spanish I) or the equivalent. Students continue to consolidate and further their study of the Spanish language through the practice and use of foundational concepts learned in Spanish 001-003, and the study of more complex grammatical structures, vocabulary, verb usage, and idiomatic expressions. Emphasis is placed on developing fluency in oral expression and facility in writing. Students will read and discuss representative Spanish and Latin American literary and cultural texts to enhance their understanding of different cultural perspectives and recent developments in the Spanish-speaking world. This course may be offered as a web-enhanced or hybrid course. Computer skills are required for accessing and performing online course materials and activities. Credit is given for either Spanish 4 or Spanish 37, but not both. CREDIT IS GIVEN FOR EITHER SPANISH 4 OR SPANISH 037, BUT NOT BOTH.
