Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides an overview of the field of health equity and the determinants that influence health outcomes of diverse populations. Special attention is given to socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and gender status and their relationships with health disparities and inequities. Students are presented with cultural context, evidence-based models and interventions, and theoretical foundations necessary to eliminate health disparities in their communities and in the United States.
