    Description
    This course is a spatial study of the Earth's dynamic physical systems and processes using an Earth Systems Science approach. Topics include earth-sun relations, weather and climate, biogeography, soils, landforms, plate tectonics, weathering, mass wasting and the transformation of the earth by human activities. The basics of maps, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS), remote sensing, and other tools of geographic analysis are introduced. UC CREDIT FOR EITHER GEOG 001 AND 015 OR FOR 017.
