    Description
This course introduces students to the work of queer (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or gender non-conforming) writers, historical and contemporary, who have made important contributions to literature. Queer experiences, identities, and relationships (both overt and in subtext) are examined in both historical and contemporary contexts. In addition, students will learn to evaluate literary texts using traditional and Queer critical theories.
