    This course covers principles of event- driven programming and object-oriented design in Windows applications using the C# programming language. The course emphasis is on event-driven programming using GUI classes, instantiating objects, working with properties, methods, and events, and creating event-handlers. Course topics include the Visual Studio IDE, variable scope and lifetime, various .NET Framework control classes, constructors, arrays and collections, strings, data validation and exception handling, multi-form projects, access modifiers, creating user-defined classes, and introduction to the OOP concepts of data encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism. THIS COURSE REPLACED CO SCI 895 IN SPRING 2020. STUDENTS CAN NOT EARN CREDIT FOR BOTH CS 115 AND CO SCI 895.
