Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis hands-on course covers the fundamentals of type, its characteristics, vocabulary and anatomy. The course will cover the standards and principles used to design with type. Focusing on the importance of working with letterforms as a critical element to successful design will be stressed throughout the course. Explorations in this course include the examination of single letterforms, typographic classifications, information hierarchies and page layout. Projects explore the creative usage of letterforms as graphic and communication elements.
