Students are introduced to Spanish grammar and spelling rules with a focus on reading and writing skills and vocabulary expansion. Students practice the four language skills in the context of the geography, customs, and cultures of the Spanish-speaking countries and of the Latino experience in the United States. No prerequisites. Credit is given for either Spanish 35 or Spanish 2, but not both.
