Emphasis is placed on helping patients and their families cope with alterations in body functions. Health and illness core concepts and professional concepts as it pertain to providing and directing safe, quality patient care is integrated throughout the course. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe care to clients and selected groups in a variety of settings.
