Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides foundation to the roles of a nurse within healthcare systems, as well as profession related and patient care concepts. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge and skills needed for the provision of care for adult and older adult patients with common/uncomplicated alterations in health. The theoretical foundation for concepts related to the physiological basis for nursing practice, pharmacology and medication administration is also presented. The student is given an opportunity to demonstrate these concepts and skills in laboratory and clinical settings.
