Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, quality care for adult and older adult patients. The theoretical foundation for basic nursing skills related to assessment, comfort, nutrition, elimination, infection control, mobility, hygiene, and body mechanics is presented. The student is given an opportunity to demonstrate these concepts and skills in laboratory and clinical settings. An introduction to the nursing process provides a decision-making framework to assist students in developing effective clinical judgment skills
