Knowledge and experience of students, including the application of codes and standards, are utilized in the creation of estimates. Principles of estimating, including materials, labor, overhead, and profit are reviewed. Layout procedures for one-and two-story residential, commercial and industrial units are examined as well as estimating procedures for each of these units. Pricing methods and bidding practices are included.
