Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course will analyze United States Supreme Court decisions as they relate to civil rights in the context of their historical periods. Its ultimate purpose is to give the student an understanding of how the United States Supreme Court has had to respond to social movements within the United States, including but not limited to movements relating to racial equality, gender equality,religious expression, and sexual orientation, and how its interpretations of associated laws have impacted those movements as to their objectives, carriage, and reach.
