Students learn about areas of the law that affect the daily lives of all Americans and U.S. residents. Particularly relevant are the areas of consumer, housing, family, and employment law, along with marriage, and parental rights. Additionally, students learn fundamental criminal law and constitutional law principles. This knowledge provides a platform for guided discussion of important public policy issue concerning crime, discrimination, health care, and immigration.
