Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an introduction to the theory, history, and practice of community development. The course covers: neighborhood development and community building strategies; land use and real estate development; and business and labor force development strategies used to revitalize urban neighborhoods. Students will produce a neighborhood plan using e-planning tools including: asset maps, a housing plan and a workforce development plan. The course is also offered as three modules that run concurrently with the full course.
