- This course includes systematic study of hydrocarbons including nomenclature,physical and chemical properties, occurrances, synthesis, and reactions of alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes. Laboratory studies include distillations, liquid-liquid extractions, and chromatographic techniques and IR spectroscopy.
