Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course implements the principles of inclusive, respectful care-giving for infants and toddlers within a variety of program designs, routines and schedules. Topics cover typical and atypical development, principles of early intervention, design, implementation and assessment of developmentally appropriate curriculum and environment; health, safety and licensing issues. Coursework includes documentation of learning through observation, guidance towards self-regulation, family communications and community resources. Current research within the context of home language, culture and traditions will be addressed.
