Students will explore fiction designed to sharpen skills as critical readers (structure, narrative voice, character development, historical and political contexts and reader response). Students are introduced to literature in its various genres such as short story and poetry. This class can be taken as a stand-alone-introduction or refresher on literature. It may also be taken in conjunction with credit classes in other disciplines.
