Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis competency-based course is the last in a sequence of three designed for alternative and renewable energy technology. It provides students with project-based experiences in photovoltaic (PV) installation. Technical instruction includes an introduction and reviews of workplace safety procedures, resource management, and trade mathematics as well as basic entrepreneurship. Emphasis is placed on the electrical design adaptations for PV systems, installation of subsystems and components, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques for PV system malfunctions, and exploration of local, national, and global markets for PV applications.
