Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course focuses on gender, including the development of the individual, the scripts that are learned in our culture, the comparative information from other cultures and other times in our history, how people use gender in interpersonal relationships, and how gender structures society. A particular emphasis is placed on the political, social and economic status of women and men. Topics include the social forces that help to shape the experience of women and men such as race, class, the social construction of gender and sexuality.
