Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides instruction in the Emergency Response System, creation of an emergency action plan, and assessment and immediate treatment given to a person who has been injured or has suddenly taken ill. Legal considerations and lifesaving procedures (e.g., use of automated external defibrillators and CPR for infants, children and adults) are covered. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible for certification in First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross.
