    ESL NC 109CE is for ESL students at the high-intermediate level who need to expand their linguistic and communicative competence in English to function successfully in their community. The course emphasizes level-appropriate grammar, vocabulary, listening/speaking, basic research, critical thinking, and 21st century skills in activities related to daily life, work, community, civics, current events, and college and career readiness.
