Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides students with an understanding of the academic and professional attitudes, behaviors and skills necessary to enhance their chances of success as a science, engineering or technology major, and ultimately as a professional. The job functions of various engineering disciplines as well as the general definition of engineering are examined. Working effectively in teams, goal setting, time management, self- improvement, methods of learning, and developing oral communication skills are practiced. Students are introduced to the campus resources available to science, engineering and technology majors and learn how to orient themselves to the science and engineering educational system. Students have an opportunity to work collaboratively with their classmates on most of the assignments and in-class projects.
