Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is a continuation of Art 201. Emphasis will be placed on the application and refinement of space systems (i.e., light logic and linear perspective) and mastery of advanced compositional solutions. Approaches to subject matter, including Cubism and Surrealism, will be examined. Media, including pen and ink, and pastels, will be explored. Exploration of artistic concepts, styles, and creative expression related to intermediate-level drawing, focusing on complex subject matter and concepts using a variety of drawing mediums, techniques, and methodologies. Students in this course will build on fundamental drawing skills to develop personalized approaches to content and materials in exercises covering multiple historical and contemporary approaches to drawing.
