    Description
Prerequisite: MATH 261 and PHYSICS 066 with a grade of "C" or better. This course is the second semester of a one year introductory calculus-based phys- ics course. The main objective is to provide life science students with the basic concepts and qualitative reasoning skills connecting physics principles to natural phenomena. Lectures cover the fundamental principles and applications of elec- tricity and magnetism, electromagnetic waves, geometric optics, wave optics, quantum physics, atomic physics and nuclear physics. The students will perform laboratory activities that include structured problem-solving strategies, quantita- tive and qualitative experiments, tutorials, and conceptual activities.
