    Prerequisite
MATH 240 with a grade of "C" or better, or equivalent. This is the first course of a two semester sequence and considers the fundamental principles and applications of classical mechanics, gravitation, thermodynamics, flu- ids, periodic motion and waves at the algebra/trigonometry level of mathematical sophistication. The laboratory includes both quantitative and qualitative experi- ments which permit students to verify, illustrate, and deduce various laws of physics.
