    Description
    Students analyze the historical evolution of the Mexican-American since the 1850s, immigration patterns from Mexico, the impact of the civil rights move- ment, the aftermath of the Mexican-American War, and the contributions of the Mexican-Americans to the American experience. Discussions include basic American institutions. Students will be able to name important figures in Mexican American history, analyze their achievements and value, and construct a timeline of events comparing parallel events and major figures from U.S. history.
