    Description
    Prerequisite: Successful completion of Intermediate Algebra or equivalent or higher or placement into transfer-level math/quantitative reasoning course. Students examine the principles of money, credit, banking, product pricing and marketing, and the role of the Federal Reserve System and government policy on the financial environment. Financial instruments, interest rates, capital manage- ment, money and capital markets and currency fluctuations and hedging for glob- al business are analyzed, including detailed evaluations of the time value of money, and its application to calculations in personal and business finance.
