- Prerequisite: ENGL C1000 (formerly ENGLISH 101) with a grade of "C" or better. Advisory: ENGLISH 102 is recommended, but not required. Students analyze science fiction as literature, with emphasis on the use of mythol- ogy; science fiction by scientists and non-scientists, political and philosophical oriented science fiction, and science fiction as fantasy and escape literature.
