- Students explore Mexican and Chicana/o arts from the Pre-Cuauhtemoc period to the contemporary era with a focus on social, political and economic structures. Particular emphasis is given to the identification and the discussion of their contri- butions to the contemporary culture of the United States. This course covers major historical periods of Mexican and Chicana/o history and visual culture.
