    Description
    an interactive meeting with the Academic Accommodations Center in Student Services Building, Room 4800, to determine reasonable accommodations. Formerly OCEANO 014. Credit not given for both courses. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in BIOLOGY 121. Previous completion of BIOLOGY 121 with a grade of "C" or better is allowable. May be offered as an honors section. Students explore the marine environment with hands-on laboratory and field studies. In the laboratory, students will learn about marine algae and animals, including how to distinguish among different species. For field studies, students will visit local beaches and apply what they have learned in the lab to identify com- mon local intertidal organisms. Students will also collaborate on a semester-long project of their choosing.
