    Description
    Prerequisite: A S L 006 and A S L 010 with a grade of "C" or better. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in A S L 023 and A S L 055. Previous completion of A S L 023 and A S L 055 with a grade of "C" or better is allowable. Normally offered in the Spring semester only. Students develop intermediate-level simultaneous interpreting and transliterating skills (spoken English to contact variety forms of ASL, and contact variety forms of ASL to spoken English). Instruction includes a focus on transliteration in con- trast to interpretation for when contact variety ASL is used. Interactive interpret- ing is introduced and practiced.
