    Description
    This course is an exploratory survey of selected visual cultural topics within North American Indigenous cultures from prehistory through today. This course is geo- graphically limited to present-day United States and Canada. Regions of study may include but are not limited to cultures of the Arctic, Subarctic, Northwest Coast, California, Great Basin, Plateau, Southwest, Great Plains, Eastern Woodlands, Northeast, and Southeast. Categories may include but are not limit- ed to: portable arts, architecture, pottery, clothing, beadwork, embroidery, and weaponry.
