    In this course, students gain a broad perspective of livestock management and develop the critical thinking skills required to make humane, fact based decisions in livestock production. Various species of livestock, including beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, swine, horses, poultry, llamas, rabbits and ostriches will be cov- ered. Topics of study include breeds, feeding, reproduction, animal welfare, health, and management strategies.
