    Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 3 hours This beginning course in real estate fundamentals is required for the real estate salesperson license, and is highly recom- mended as a foundation course in real estate. This course cov- ers the nature of real property, types of estates and tenancy, real estate and contract law, types of agency, title and title insurance, trust deeds/mortgages, liens/encumbrances, taxes, zoning, community property, financing and real estate math concepts, and other subjects vital to a basic understanding of real estate. Note: This course is one of three required courses as preparation for the examination given by the State of California for the real estate salesperson's license; elective for the California Broker's license.
