    Prerequisites: MUSIC 216-1 and MUSIC 217-1 Corequisite: MUSIC 217-2 | Lecture: 3 hours The student incorporates and expands upon the concepts from Music Theory I. In addition, through guided composi- tion and analysis, the course will include: an introduction to two-part counterpoint; voice leading involving four-part cho- rale writing; diatonic harmony; and an introduction to sec- ondary/applied chords and modulation. This course is the second in a sequence of four.
