    Description
    Prerequisite: KIN 316-1 | Lab: 3 hours Students continue their education in the introductory aspects of karate including basic kicking, punching, blocking, and grappling techniques. The science behind martial arts such physiology and physics of how and why specific techniques apply in certain situations is emphasized. Through active practice, students improve in the basic five components of fit- ness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.
