- Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 2 hours This introductory course is for ESL students at the beginning level. It focuses on areas of pronunciation for effective com- munication in American English. Students will review articu- lation of vowel and consonant sounds, and develop pronunciation fluency by learning about rhythm, focus words, connected speech, intonation, thought groups, and stress. This is the second of a two-course series in pronunciation.
