    Description
    (UC:CSU:C-ID COMM 110) 3 UNITS (formerly COMM 101 Public Speaking) Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 3 hours In this course, students learn and apply foundational rhetori- cal theories and techniques of public speaking in a multicul- tural democratic society. Students discover, develop, and critically analyze ideas in public discourse through research, reasoning, organization, composition, delivery to a live audi- ence and evaluation of various types of speeches, including informative and persuasive speeches.
