Transfers ToCSUDescription(CSU) 3 UNITS Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 3 hours This course is an introductory inter-disciplinary study of the field of Chicana/o Studies. It examines race, ethnicity and cul- ture, in relation to Chicana/o and Latina/o communities and their social justice movements and struggles. The course pro- vides a basis for better understanding of the socio-economic, cultural, and political conditions among Chicanas/os, Latinas/ os, and other minority groups through historical consider- ation of the creation and development of Ethnic Studies pro- grams in the United States.
