Transfers ToNot transferableDescription0 UNITS Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 1 hour This course prepares students for the fundamental concepts in descriptive statistics and basic probability theory that are introduced in Statistics. Topics include summarizing data; descriptive statistics; correlation and linear regression; proba- bility; discrete distributions; continuous distributions; statisti- cal reasoning skills and interpretation of calculation results. The use of technology is integrated into the course to perform statistical analysis and the relevance of the statistical findings is interpreted. This class can be taken in conjunction with credit class or as a stand-alone introduction to basic statistics.
